Just discovered this. Still parsing through what the data actually, y’know, means (Jay-Z is accessible through the links above, here’s a close-up on 50 Cent, who I’ve been using as a symbol around here). But it sure feels good and gristy and… cool.
These specific word count reports have been around for a couple years, part of the early stages of what is now a hot internet-wide trend of presenting pretty visual reports of word counts, hate rants, and readabilitee scores. This appears to be the Staple Crops current thread, complete with scatterplot charts and full-on hip hop data packs. Will update when I’m done comprehending, with an ETC (Estimated Time of Comprehension) date ranging from soon to never.
